No more waiting: Polkov’s new EP is almost here! Out next June 21st in a presentation party they’re throwing at the Postgarage in Graz, Austria, the 7” record contains a whole new world in just two songs.
It begins with Pictures, a melancholic song that reminds us a little to those melancholic tunes the old Polkov used to play in Tannhäuser Gate, but in a much more mature way. Laurenz Jandl has become a great songwriter, and knows how to surrender himself by the best musicians: there are not so many who are able to take these notes to such a dreamlike level.

But, oh, then we have Reverie. If I had to define Polkov in two words, they would probably be “melancholic” and “fresh” (which could seem a little opposite, but once you listen to their songs, you understand it perfectly). So Reverie is the fresh song in the record. So young, so hopeful sounds… one can’t help but feel happy every single time of listening to it. And I assure you, I’ve done it many, many times.
